The project manager will lead complex infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, and quality standards throughout HOAI phases 1-7. They will act as the primary contact for clients, coordinating between planners, contractors, and internal teams to deliver sustainable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary contact for infrastructure clients on Germanâwide Deutsche Bahn and roadâconstruction projects
- Manage complex infrastructure projects across all HOAI phases (1â7) with structured, independent work
- Ensure adherence to cost, schedule and quality targets
- Apply softâskills in client care and hardâskills using relevant software tools
- Coordinate solutionâfocused collaboration with users, planners and contractors
- Support development and implementation of projectâspecific organisational structures
- Handle procurement, contract administration, changeâorder management, invoicing and quality assurance
- Collaborate with colleagues at other Arcadis locations
Requirements
- Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
- Experience in project control and management of infrastructure projects, preferably for Deutsche Bahn or road construction
- Knowledge of German construction regulations (AHO, HOAI, VOB) and international contracting models (EPCM, FIDIC)
- Proficiency with MS Project and standard Office applications
- Strong German and English communication skills
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage consultants and contractors
- Travel willingness as required by projects
