Invent and implement engineering solutions for complex material flow and human-machine efficiency within the global supply chain. Lead design efforts for transportation networks, managing multiple projects and collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
Responsibilities
- Invent, design, and implement engineering solutions to complex material flow and human/machine efficiency problems across Amazon's supply chain
- Lead and coordinate design and innovation efforts for transportation network equipment, process design, site layout, and IP considerations
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate highâquality, costâeffective solutions on tight timelines
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while influencing, negotiating, and communicating with business partners, contractors, and vendors
- Provide technical leadership for largeâscale engineering projects
Requirements
- 5+ years of design/innovation, R&D, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
- Experience in logistics
- Experience managing engineering design projects
- Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software
- 5+ years of progressive technology implementation or senior leadership experience (preferred)
- Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, highâspeed manufacturing (preferred)
- Experience with financial analysis and modeling (preferred)
