Collaborate with PMs on product discovery and conduct user research to create intuitive, functional interfaces. Maintain the design system as code and develop navigable prototypes using AI tools to reduce production rework.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers during discovery, presenting research evidence and solution hypotheses
- Conduct user research using interviews, questionnaires, usability testing, and data analysis, leveraging AI for synthesis
- Create navigable, code‑based prototypes with AI assistance rather than static screens
- Develop and maintain a design system as code, including components, tokens, and interaction patterns
- Run usability tests on coded prototypes, collect feedback, and iterate using usage metrics
- Define and steer design strategy aligned with business objectives and AI‑driven workflows
- Work closely with developers, PMs, and stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility and reduce rework
- Produce living documentation within the codebase: component guidelines, design specifications, interaction patterns, and AI prompts
- Structure content and functionality with clear information architecture and efficient navigation flows
- Stay updated on design trends, AI tools for product design, and industry best practices
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience shipping production‑ready mobile or web products
- Strong portfolio with functional prototypes and full case studies
- Advanced proficiency in Figma for wireframes and prototypes
- Experience conducting user research (interviews, surveys, usability tests, A/B testing)
- Ability to prototype directly in code using AI‑assisted tools
- Understanding of design systems, tokens, and reusable components
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Basic front‑end skills (HTML, CSS, React or equivalent) to guide AI outputs
- Proficiency with analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Clarity
- Excellent English communication; ability to work US business hours
- Soft skills: effective communication, stakeholder management, time management, teamwork, adaptability, critical thinking, resilience
