Design high-quality style guides, components, and patterns while maintaining and documenting the design system in Figma and Supernova. Collaborate with multidisciplinary squads to ensure the correct adoption of the system and ensure accessibility according to WCAG standards.
Responsibilities
- Design style guides, components and high‑quality patterns
- Create, organise, update, maintain and document the design system
- Develop components for system libraries and specific design initiatives
- Maintain resources, tools and documentation in Figma and Supernova
- Explain, defend and justify design decisions to design and development teams
- Support product teams in adopting the design system
- Collaborate with Product and Content Designers to identify new component opportunities
- Provide guidance to other designers on shared patterns
- Design complex interactions with a focus on simplicity and elegance
- Ensure component accessibility according to WCAG standards
- Audit designs and implementations, establishing validation and improvement processes
Requirements
- 3+ years of digital design experience working on design systems
- University degree in a design‑related field
- Ability to work in an agile environment, delivering pixel‑perfect work
- Experience building and documenting design system components
- Knowledge of Design Ops and process standardisation
- Strong understanding of interaction design, heuristics, Gestalt principles and accessibility
- Proficiency with Figma and design library management
- Knowledge of User‑Centered Design and Design Thinking
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge oriented to UI
- Familiarity with front‑end frameworks such as React or Vue and Storybook
- Effective communication and cross‑functional collaboration
