The Design Manager is responsible for architectural planning processes and project management for shop and office designs. This includes developing workflows, ensuring compliance with CI guidelines, and managing the material library and design studio.
Responsibilities
- Own the architectural planning processes and project management for shop and office designs
- Develop and refine workflows in close collaboration with stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with international and regional regulations and CI‑design guidelines
- Support regional and local Design Managers with detailed specifications for all shop and office elements
- Create appealing concepts and design plans, monitor design adjustments while keeping timelines, costs and quality standards in view
- Collaborate with the Design Team to continuously evolve and optimise the iconic shop design
- Maintain the material library and design studio at headquarters and provide license partners with physical selection options
- Manage the design studio and material library, ensuring resources are available for internal and partner use
Requirements
- University degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent professional training
- At least 2 years of experience in retail, hospitality or high‑end office design, preferably following brand‑design guidelines
- Proven project‑management experience and ability to work with construction documents
- Strong proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD or VectorWorks) and Adobe Photoshop
- Ability to create and present design presentations
- Self‑driven, structured work style to meet project goals
- Excellent communication skills in German and English
