Lead and manage the technical design and drafting team for furniture manufacturing and interior projects. Review and approve technical drawings to ensure compliance with manufacturing standards and project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the technical designer and drafting team
- Review and approve shop, production and technical drawings
- Ensure drawings comply with manufacturing standards, material specs and installation requirements
- Coordinate with designers, project managers and production teams
- Provide technical guidance on drafting software
- Develop drawing standards and improve drafting workflows
- Resolve design‑related issues for the production team
- Maintain project timelines and quality standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Furniture Design, Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in furniture manufacturing or interior fit‑out
- Proven experience managing technical designers or drafting teams
- Strong knowledge of furniture materials, methods and manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD and/or SketchUp
