Product Designer - Design Systems

The role involves designing and evolving design system components, patterns, and tokens while maintaining documentation for internal teams. You will collaborate with frontend engineers to ensure visual consistency and quality across web, apps, and internal tools.
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve components, patterns and tokens of the Mercadona Tech design system
- Write usage guides and maintain documentation for teams using the components
- Provide design recommendations and ensure visual and interaction quality of products
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to build components and bridge design‑to‑code
- Promote system adoption, measure its usage and prioritize evolution based on team feedback
Requirements
- Strong visual foundation in typography, hierarchy, color, spacing and information architecture
- Experience designing, documenting and evolving components, patterns and tokens of a design system
- Expertise in interaction design
- Experience using AI in the design workflow and familiarity with code‑based prototyping
- Ability to apply user‑research methodologies to inform design decisions
- Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English
- Willingness to receive and give constructive feedback
