Staff Product Designer

Lead the design evolution of Miro's canvas-based formats and integrate generative AI to bridge the gap between rough ideas and polished content. Partner with product and engineering teams to define design vision, set quality standards, and mentor other designers.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the evolution of Miroās canvasābased formats
- Articulate a nearāterm design vision that disrupts market norms
- Lead AIāfocused innovation, exploring generative AI to accelerate content creation
- Approach product development with an entrepreneurial mindset and ownership
- Navigate ambiguity, run lean experiments, and treat the format experience as a startup within Miro
- Leverage competitive analysis to create bestāināclass experiences while maintaining ease of use
- Partner with Product and Engineering to solve complex technical and design challenges around AI quality and discoverability
- Set the bar for design excellence, mentor other designers, and evolve design systems and tooling
Requirements
- 10+ years of product design experience, preferably in B2B SaaS or AIāfocused roles
- 2ā3 years operating at a Staff / Principal level with ownership of complex initiatives
- Strong portfolio demonstrating userāfocused product design and business impact
- Deep understanding of AI, generative AI tools, and AIācentric design workflows
- Proven experience collaborating with product, engineering, and UX teams
- Expertise in UX practices, information architecture, and userācentered design methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a fastāpaced, ambiguous environment
- Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD (preferred)
- Experience designing design tools, editors, or creative software is a plus
