The Graphic Designer creates pre-press graphic design services for college print and electronic publications. They support the Institutional Advancement team by developing marketing campaigns, digital content, and public relations materials while maintaining brand consistency.
Responsibilities
- Perform graphic design, page layout and related duties as assigned
- Coordinate development of project layout and design with team members
- Assist in creation of marketing, communications and digital campaigns
- Create general marketing and public relations materials
- Transform rough ideas into finished products
- Provide graphic support for web services as requested
- Ensure projects meet brand standards and maintain consistency
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Maintain accurate archival system
- Participate in departmental planning and achievement of institutional commitments
- Evaluate industry trends to ensure relevance of projects and messaging
- Represent the department with courteous, respectful customer service
- Assist with special events as assigned
- Maintain effective relationships with college personnel, students and community
- Process telephone calls internally and externally in a timely manner
- Upgrade skills through professional development
Requirements
- Associate degree in a related field or 5 years of equivalent experience
- Skilled in all Adobe Creative Suite design software
- Demonstrated page layout and design skills
- Ability to format print‑ready files for various media
- Familiarity with Windows operating system and networked environments
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Portfolio review
- Photography skills
