Sr. Water Systems Engineer, DC Design Engineering

You will influence and define water chemistry and treatment standards for a global fleet of data centers while coordinating with design, construction, and operations teams. The role involves overseeing project-related work, ensuring code compliance, and providing technical expertise to support the lifecycle of facility water systems.
Responsibilities
- Drive improvement of design standards and project approaches across the organization
- Review thirdâparty design vendors for code compliance and AHJ requirements
- Provide highâquality water treatment advice on global projects
- Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and risk management teams for RFIs and valueâengineering
- Ensure code compliance, design and installation standards, testing, inspections, and submittal review
- Perform water supply analysis and design for data center sites
- Prepare detailed designs and construction specifications for water treatment and sustainability systems
- Oversee or perform design work as needed and support contractors and operations teams
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including design engineering, construction, and vendors
- Travel up to 25% of the time
Requirements
- 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in missionâcritical facilities
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience
- Professional Engineering or Architectural License (preferred)
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Experience with water treatment design for industrial, domestic, and wastewater systems
- Ability to read, interpret, and create construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents
