Senior Design Engineer, North America AMZL Design Engineering

Drive the design, standardization, and optimization of delivery station processes and building layouts across the North America Last Mile network. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement capacity improvements and ensure designs meet safety, quality, and cost goals.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, review and release building designs for new and existing delivery stations
- Provide process expertise on material flow, labor placement, conveyors, equipment, and site layout
- Achieve daily and weekly design production plans
- Collaborate with design managers, CAD drafters, real estate, engineering, architects, suppliers, finance and planning teams
- Lead standardization initiatives and share best practices across global teams
- Conduct continuous process and design benchmark studies
- Support design quality control to ensure zeroâdefect designs
- Implement new design standards, templates, safety processes and scaleâup mechanisms
- Facilitate crossâfunctional project reviews and drive design solutions
- Travel up to 25% as required
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience managing multiple large projects
- 6+ years leading crossâfunctional teams through launch and goâlive phases
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Strong technical background in automated or nonâautomated material handling equipment
- Experience as an industrial, operations, manufacturing, design, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Visio, SolidWorks or similar design tools
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)
- Experience in process engineering and project management
