Electrical BIM Designer, DC Design Engineering

You will design electrical systems for data centers using Revit to create and maintain BIM models and construction documents. You will also collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure design quality, perform engineering calculations, and support construction phases.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for data centers and develop detailed Revit BIM models
• Produce and maintain construction documentation, including one‑lines, switchgear, UPS, panelboards, and lighting systems
• Perform electrical calculations such as short‑circuit, arc‑flash, voltage drop, and conduit sizing
• Create and publish standard regional BIM templates and Revit families
• Coordinate with internal groups, vendors, contractors, and consultants
• Participate in clash detection and resolution meetings
• Support design coordination, information exchange, and construction‑phase inquiries
• Travel to data‑center sites for engineering evaluations and surveys

Requirements

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission‑critical facilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer license (preferred)
• 4+ years of experience using Revit for electrical BIM modeling
• Knowledge of NEC and electrical codes
• Experience with short‑circuit, arc‑flash, voltage‑drop calculations
