Electrical Design Engineer, Data Center Design Engineering

The Junior Electrical Engineer will design resilient electrical distribution systems for data centers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create construction documents. They will also manage equipment submittals, ensure code compliance, and provide technical support throughout the construction and commissioning phases.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs and construction document sets for data centers
• Collaborate with other disciplines to meet quality and budget requirements
• Ensure designs comply with federal, state, and local building codes
• Review and approve equipment submittals
• Define project scope and provide technical support during construction phases
• Assist commissioning teams with testing and validation of electrical systems
• Manage multiple regional projects simultaneously
• Travel to sites for reviews, surveys, and engineering evaluations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Knowledge of critical data‑center mechanical and electrical equipment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Experience with design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission‑critical facilities
• Preferred: Understanding of commercial/industrial power systems
