Sr. Fire Protection Engineer, Data Center Design Engineering

You will influence all aspects of fire protection design, construction, and maintenance for a global fleet of data centers. This includes defining design standards, overseeing project-related work, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Perform water supply analysis and design fire water service systems
- Coordinate fire protection system space requirements and equipment locations
- Prepare prescriptive and performanceâbased fire suppression, alarm, and detection designs
- Review all design disciplines for fire protection compliance
- Provide detailed construction specifications for fireârelated trades
- Liaise with contractors, vendors, and fire officials to ensure proper installation
- Drive improvement of fire protection design standards across the organization
- Manage documentation, code compliance, testing, inspections, and submittal reviews
- Travel up to 25% to data center sites and stakeholder meetings
Requirements
- 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience
- 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in missionâcritical facilities
- Bachelorâs degree in Engineering or related field
- Licensed Fire Protection Engineer (preferred)
- Knowledge of NFPA, ICC, and local fire codes
- Experience with prescriptive and performanceâbased fire protection design
- Ability to produce construction specifications and review design disciplines
- Strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
