Design Manager (Interiorismo)

Hybrid Full-time Senior

The Design Manager is responsible for overseeing the interior design process from the initial project brief and conceptual design through to execution and construction supervision. This includes coordinating tenders, reviewing technical documentation, and ensuring projects align with brand standards and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Create and update project briefs and product definition documents
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external consultants on project execution
  • Lead tender processes for interior services and draft contracts with legal support
  • Organise and document design meetings, producing minutes and action items
  • Review and comment on design concepts, layouts, renders and executive interior documents (civil works, lighting, FF&E, OS&E)
  • Collect and assess material samples and alternatives
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, departmental requirements and budget constraints
  • Prepare presentation material for management approval
  • Handle tendering, contracting and value‑engineering to meet cost targets
  • Participate in procurement processes, approve timelines and launch orders
  • Supervise construction, validate workshop drawings and monitor project schedule
  • Control project finances, compile snagging lists and resolve unforeseen issues
  • Produce monthly reporting for the Works Monitoring Committee

Requirements

  • Degree in Architecture or Technical Architecture with a specialization in Interior Design
  • Minimum 5 years experience on hotel interior projects
  • Ability to manage all phases of project documentation and site supervision
  • Proven experience creating detailed furniture, carpentry and FF&E drawings and specifications
  • Willingness to work in multidisciplinary teams and travel as needed
  • Upper‑intermediate to advanced English
  • Strong command of AutoCAD
