The designer will build and maintain responsive WordPress websites, focusing on theme customization and plugin configuration. They are responsible for optimizing site performance, accessibility, and ensuring visual consistency with brand guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain WordPress websites for client projects
- Create responsive page layouts and customize themes to match brand guidelines
- Configure and manage plugins, including page builders and SEO tools
- Optimize pages for performance, accessibility, and SEO
- Troubleshoot layout and plugin issues and update site content as needed
- Collaborate with project managers or clients to refine requirements and deliver solutions
- Provide recommendations to improve user experience and site effectiveness
Requirements
- Strong WordPress skills including theme selection, customization, and plugin configuration
- Experience with page builders such as Elementor, Divi, or Gutenberg
- Proficiency in responsive web design, layout, typography, and basic UX principles
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS and ability to troubleshoot frontâend issues
- Experience optimizing sites for speed, mobile responsiveness, and onâpage SEO
- Attention to detail for styling consistency, content formatting, and crossâbrowser compatibility
- Effective communication and ability to work independently in a remote, deadlineâdriven environment
- Portfolio of completed WordPress projects
