The role serves as the primary designer and developer for the University's web presence, leading the design, maintenance, and optimization of digital platforms. It involves collaborating with stakeholders to manage web initiatives and incorporating AI technologies to improve the overall digital experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize university websites and digital platforms
  • Create responsive, accessible, user‑friendly pages, templates, navigation, and interactive experiences using WordPress and Elementor
  • Act as project manager for web initiatives, coordinating with campus departments and stakeholders
  • Manage WordPress administration, user roles, permissions, content workflows, and provide training to content contributors
  • Provide back‑end development and technical support including custom functionality, plugins, forms, APIs, PHP, JavaScript, and performance optimization
  • Optimize sites for UX, accessibility, SEO, mobile responsiveness, and search visibility using analytics data
  • Incorporate AI and emerging technologies to improve design, development, and maintenance processes
  • Collaborate with IT and external partners on hosting, security, system reliability, and technical infrastructure
  • Manage additional digital communication platforms such as newsletters and digital signage

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in web development, computer science, information technology, web design, digital media, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum two years of experience in web design and development, website administration, or digital platform management
  • Experience with WordPress and Elementor page builder
  • Portfolio or professional certifications may substitute for formal experience
