The Senior UX Designer is responsible for the end-to-end UX approach, translating complex legislation and requirements into user-friendly digital designs. They collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and components within a design system while ensuring WCAG accessibility.
Responsibilities
- Own the UX approach for assigned projects, make autonomous decisions and set priorities while guiding stakeholders
- Translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into userâfriendly digital solutions
- Balance user needs, technical feasibility, organizational goals and legal constraints
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to make complex information clear and usable for diverse audiences
- Present and justify design choices based on user research, data analysis and testing
- Maintain user experience quality, accessibility (WCAG) and consistency across applications
- Develop concepts, wireframes and highâfidelity UX/UI designs ready for implementation by frontâend developers
- Create prototypes to validate ideas, surface risks early and support design decisions
Requirements
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Communication & Multimedia Design, Industrial Design or similar
- Minimum 8 years experience as a UX Designer
- At least 3 years of handsâon experience with Figma
- Minimum 5 years experience with design systems and principles such as humanâcentered design, service design, design thinking, accessibility and WCAG
- Proven portfolio with at least two UX projects showing process and outcomes
- Fluent Dutch language skills, both written and spoken
