Electrical Design Engineer, Data Center Design Engineering

The Electrical Engineer will design resilient electrical distribution systems for data centers and manage projects from concept through construction and commissioning. They will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure designs meet quality, safety, and budgetary standards.
Responsibilities
- Design dataâcenter electrical distribution systems and create construction document sets
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet quality and budget requirements
- Coordinate with local agencies to ensure compliance with federal, state and municipal codes
- Review and approve equipment submittals
- Define project scope and provide technical support during construction phases
- Work with commissioning teams to test, validate and optimize electrical system performance
- Manage multiple concurrent projects across different geographic regions
- Travel to site locations for review, field engineering support and startup activities
- Provide engineering evaluations, audits and innovative solutions for complex problems
Requirements
- 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in missionâcritical facilities such as data centers, power generation or oil & gas
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience researching new designs, technologies and construction methods for data center equipment
- Ability to read, interpret and create construction drawings, specifications and submittal documents
- Experience in commissioning electrical systems
