Senior Data Center Design Manager, Data Center Engineering

Lead a team of engineers in the design and delivery of critical data center infrastructure systems across the APAC region. Manage project lifecycles, including stakeholder coordination, budget establishment, and driving process improvements to meet design milestones.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers in designing data‑center critical infrastructure systems
• Facilitate weekly meetings with internal engineers, customers and external consultants to address design issues and meet milestones
• Drive process improvements, tool optimization and prepare regional business review reports
• Create and track metrics related to cost, quality and design duration
• Establish capital project design budgets and contribute to business cases for new region deployments
• Collaborate with AWS finance teams to secure project funding
• Partner with AWS Engineering leads to schedule resources and influence design changes
• Manage document control workflow and audit deliverables
• Oversee stakeholder coordination from due‑diligence through construction and operations
• Drive permit approvals and interface with authorities having jurisdiction

Requirements

• 6+ years of data‑center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
• Project management experience including RFQ/RFP processes and budget development
• Professional Engineering or Architectural License (preferred)
• Knowledge of regional building codes and regulations
• Experience creating and interpreting construction drawings, specifications and submittals
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite
