Sr. Design Technologist , eShop Content Services

Lead the development, training, and fine-tuning of foundational models and Generative AI tools for creative production. Architect production-grade AI platforms and define the technical roadmap for AI-driven content generation at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead foundational model training, fine‑tuning, and evaluation for design‑specific tasks including image generation and video synthesis
• Architect and build production‑ready GenAI tools, APIs, and platforms for creative teams at scale
• Define and drive the technical roadmap for AI‑powered content generation across visual production pipelines
• Develop and optimize end‑to‑end AI inference and training pipelines on cloud‑based ML platforms
• Lead research and R&D to evaluate emerging models, diffusion techniques, and LoRA/PEFT fine‑tuning for production
• Establish best practices for prompt engineering, model evaluation, data curation, and quality benchmarking
• Mentor junior design technologists and raise technical excellence standards
• Collaborate with applied scientists, ML engineers, product managers, and creative leadership to align AI capabilities with business goals

Requirements

• Experience with Machine Learning and Large Language Model fundamentals, including architecture, training/inference lifecycles, and optimization
• Programming experience with Java, C++, or C# and object‑oriented design
• Experience building production software applications, distributed systems, or systems architecture
• Knowledge of architectural concepts, algorithms, and trade‑offs
• Experience with training and deploying machine learning systems or data infrastructures such as relational DBMS, ElasticSearch, and AWS services
• 6+ years of front‑end technologist, engineer, or UX prototyper experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Portfolio demonstrating strong visual design and advertising work
