Responsible for specifying engineering activities, defining technical scopes, and managing engineering scope within the project management team. This includes monitoring LDI progress, supervising reports, and coordinating equipment and material approvals with stakeholders.

- Observe LDI operations to ensure progress and quality compliance with programmes
- Monitor and supervise company reports, inspections, and remedial actions
- Coordinate equipment and material approvals with employer, contractor, and supervision company
- Publish and coordinate project instructions
- Understand GLEEDs responsibilities and commercial aspects of projects
- Apply employer requirements throughout design management processes
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering & Design Management
- Minimum 8 years of design management experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of design management for real‑estate, industrial, high‑rise, retail, hotel, office, and refurbishment projects
- Understanding of local building codes and experience with Chinese Design Institute
- Familiarity with government approvals and policy processes
- Knowledge of project programme scheduling and monitoring
- Experience with site construction methods related to design
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, academic writing ability for design reports
- Proficiency with office software, AutoCAD 2000, Microsoft Project, and other design management tools
- Ability to work under pressure, travel, and work on projects outside Shanghai
- English spoken and written preferred
