Own complex visual design projects end-to-end, from initial research and concept development through to final delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and research to define design strategies and ensure a unified product experience.
Responsibilities
- Own complex visual design projects end to end, from research and concept through evaluation and delivery
- Develop highālevel customer experience strategy and provide clarity for design decisions
- Partner with other designers to elevate craft and raise quality across Amazon Music surfaces
- Develop and refine visual design, information architecture, and interaction patterns to ensure coherence across the product suite
- Contribute to and evolve a central design system for touch, mouse, keyboard, and remoteāspecific features
- Collaborate with product, engineering, research, data analysis, and conversation design teams to define requirements and optimize experiences
- Present design work to UX, product, engineering, leadership, and partner teams for feedback
- Proactively manage own work queue, timelines, and expectations, communicating tradeāoffs when priorities shift
Requirements
- 8+ years of design experience
- Online portfolio available
- 5+ years of UX design experience for consumerāfacing products
- Degree in UX Design, Animation, Fine Arts, Cognitive Psychology, HCI, or related field
- Experience leading complex, multiāplatform design projects (mobile, desktop, TV)
- Experience contributing to design system frameworks and defining visual, IA, and interaction patterns
- Experience designing for LLMāenabled, AIādriven, or multimodal experiences
- Proficiency with industryāstandard design tools such as Figma
- Ability to integrate qualitative and quantitative data into design decisions
- Proven ability to present design rationale to senior stakeholders
