The Design Technologist will own end-to-end prototyping for features, taking ideas from exploration to interactive demos. They will also partner with Product Design to define AI interaction patterns and ensure prototypes meet safety and technical constraints.
Responsibilities
- Own endâtoâend prototyping for features or initiatives, from exploration to interactive demos
- Build AIâpowered prototypes that combine modern UI with model calls and light orchestration
- Partner with Product Design to define AI interaction patterns, handling uncertainty, latency, errors and fallbacks
- Collaborate crossâfunctionally to keep prototypes technically realistic regarding cost, latency, data access and safety constraints
- Maintain prompt/schema versioning and document learnings with clear demos and tradeâoffs
- Ensure Responsible AI considerations such as privacy, transparency and safe defaults are incorporated
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Digital Arts, Design, HCI, Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Handsâon prototyping with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and frameworks such as React
- Experience building interactive prototypes with API integration
- Ability to design for error states, loading patterns and user feedback
- User testing, prototype validation and iterative design refinement
- Crossâfunctional collaboration with engineering, product and design teams
- Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically or internationally
