Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer develops brand-aligned visual communications for print and digital platforms to support university marketing and enrollment goals. They collaborate with the Creative Director and campus partners to manage design projects from conceptualization through production.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, and produce a wide range of print and environmental materials such as viewbooks, brochures, posters, signage, and billboards
- Create digital assets for the university website, social media, email marketing, and digital advertising
- Develop creative assets that support enrollment marketing throughout the prospective student journey
- Prepare productionâready files ensuring accuracy, quality, and consistency across all deliverables
- Design and support production of the alumni magazine and other institutional publications
- Maintain visual consistency and enforce brand standards across all communications
- Provide guidance on appropriate use of logos, typography, graphics, and other brand elements
- Coordinate with commercial printers and vendors, develop print specifications, review proofs, and ensure final quality
- Collaborate with Creative Director, marketing, communications, photography, video, web, and content teams to ensure integrated creative solutions
- Manage multiple design projects and deadlines while maintaining high creative standards
- Stay informed of design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in graphic design and higherâeducation marketing
- Explore new tools and techniques to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of creative work
- Contribute ideas to strengthen visual storytelling and enhance marketing initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelorâs degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Marketing, or related field
- 2+ years of professional graphic design experience in an agency, higherâeducation, or inâhouse environment
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating typography, layout, and visual storytelling
- Knowledge of color correction, image retouching, and preparation of assets for print and digital
- Understanding of commercial printing methods and production processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and timeâmanagement abilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to highâquality work
- Preferred: experience in higher education or nonprofit settings, web design principles, HTML/CSS, motion graphics (After Effects, Premiere Pro), illustration skills
