Product Designer

The Product Designer will own the end-to-end design of features, transforming complex regulated financial workflows into intuitive user experiences. This includes leading feature-level research, maintaining the design system, and partnering with product and engineering teams to ship high-impact initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Own features from discovery through delivery
- Simplify regulated workflows into intuitive experiences
- Maintain and extend Sydecar's design system
- Conduct and lead feature‑level user research
- Partner with Product to test assumptions and validate solutions
- Advocate for the customer in roadmap discussions
- Incorporate qualitative and quantitative signals into designs
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure feasible implementations
- Provide clear, articulated design critiques and receive feedback
- Develop domain fluency in SPV workflows and compliance constraints
Requirements
- 4+ years of product design experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end UX ownership
- Experience designing complex, regulated workflows
- Proficiency with design systems and extending existing systems
- Collaboration with product, engineering, and stakeholders
- Excellent communication and critique skills
- Ability to lead feature‑level user research
- Data‑informed design decision making
- Curiosity about fintech and regulated industries
