senior UX designer
Politie Nederland 🇳🇱 Utrecht, Utrecht, Netherlands
Responsible for designing the integrated and uniform user experience for the Basic Identity Verification facility (BVID) used by police and partners. This includes mapping user journeys, creating interfaces, and validating designs through usability testing across service, product, and research disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Develop service designs including personas, user journeys, service blueprints and wireframes
- Create low‑ and high‑fidelity prototypes and ensure WCAG compliance
- Contribute to and evolve the Design System
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research and validate concepts with users and stakeholders
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects and product owners in multidisciplinary DevOps teams
- Work within SAFE Agile methodology and participate in onsite user research activities
Requirements
- Minimum bachelor degree (HBO) in Industrial/Product Design, Communication & Multimedia Design, Digital Design or comparable
- At least 7 years of UX design experience focusing on service and product design
- Proven experience working in an Agile Scrum environment
- Proficient with Figma and design systems
- Experience in the public sector or government organisations is preferred
- Demonstrated experience in Enterprise Design
