The designer will own and maintain a comprehensive design system across five applications, including three consoles and two field apps. Responsibilities include creating rural-first interaction rules and verifying accessibility standards like contrast and touch targets through real-world testing.
Responsibilities
- Own the design system: components, tokens, type scale, spacing, and states
- Design five applications (three consoles, two field apps) with a mobile‑first, rural‑first approach
- Create interim icon and asset sets to keep releases on schedule
- Define and enforce interaction rules based on real‑world field observations
- Verify contrast, touch targets, and layout on actual devices
- Test designs with real farmers and field engineers and iterate based on feedback
Requirements
- 3‑5 years of product design experience
- Experience shipping and maintaining a full design system end‑to‑end
- Demonstrated mobile‑first design expertise, especially for low‑literacy or rural interfaces
- Proficiency with professional design tooling (variants, auto‑layout, prototyping, developer handoff)
- Ability to work with non‑Latin scripts and typographic depth
