Senior UX Designer, Amazon Fulfillment Technologies

Lead the end-to-end product design lifecycle to improve safety and productivity for Amazon's global fulfillment workforce. Manage a strategic portfolio and roadmap while collaborating with product managers and engineers to implement scalable UX solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own a wellâdefined charter within a business portfolio
- Frame problems by understanding business objectives, technical constraints, and operational context
- Advocate for the user while balancing feasibility and business impact
- Drive the full product design lifecycle: research, problemâframing, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and postâlaunch measurement
- Deliver solutions through the most effective artifact (journey maps, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, highâfidelity mockups, or productionâready specs)
- Partner closely with product managers and engineers on problemâframing and solution definition
- Run research, build prototypes, and measure postâlaunch impact for highâpriority initiatives
- Develop fluency in emerging technologies (humanâagent interaction, AR/CV, AIâassisted prototyping)
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate design workflows and contribute frontâend code where appropriate
- Communicate work and impact to leadership frequently
- Build continuity with key stakeholders (L7s, L8s, partner teams)
- Maintain a 6â12 month roadmap balancing big bets and strategic priorities
- Scope and manage work on assigned initiatives, provide regular updates, and handle escalations
- Run intake/prioritization and sprint planning within the portfolio
- Contribute to design infrastructure and standardization across AFT products, including the design system
- Surface proven patterns for potential standardization
- Ground decisions in operational reality using field research, feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings
- Perform metrics analysis postâlaunch to inform ongoing optimization
- Participate in peer mentoring, skill sharing, and design community forums
Requirements
- 6+ years of design experience
- Online portfolio
- Experience designing complex workflows
- Experience with humanâagent interaction patterns, AIâmediated workflows, or multimodal interfaces (voice, AR/CV, conversational UI)
