Structure Design Manager (Home Decor, Luxury Handicraft,...)

Lead the R&D process from concept to production for luxury home decor and handicrafts while optimizing production costs. Manage the design team, standardize operational processes, and integrate new technologies to enhance product quality.
Responsibilities
- Manage R&D and new product projects from concept through production hand‑over
- Control quality, packaging standards, and technical customer requirements
- Research cost‑effective materials and improve manufacturing methods
- Implement new technologies and production innovations
- Recruit, train, and set KPIs for R&D staff
- Standardize processes, maintain 5S, and ensure cross‑departmental coordination
- Communicate with internal and external teams, ensuring clear project updates
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 5‑7 years of experience in a comparable structural design role
- Experience in luxury handcrafted product manufacturing
- Proficiency in at least one design software: AutoCAD, Corel, SolidWorks, or Illustrator
- Strong cost analysis and optimization skills
- Ability to assess quality risks and implement 5S standards
- Research and improvement of material alternatives
- Fluent English; French is a plus
- Leadership, communication, data analysis, creativity, and problem‑solving abilities
