Food Service Design Manager, Design, Sustainability & Engineering

The role focuses on designing and delivering food service and beverage amenity spaces across Amazon's global corporate portfolio. Key duties include developing design standards, producing construction-ready drawings, and ensuring compliance with health and accessibility codes.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design documentation for cafeterias, coffee shops, market spaces and back‑of‑house kitchens
• Create and maintain design standards, casework specifications and equipment layouts
• Integrate ADA, health‑code and operational compliance into all deliverables
• Prepare presentations and design rationale for internal stakeholders and leadership
• Support program recommendations based on space, headcount and building type
• Contribute to vendor RFP processes and evaluate equipment proposals
• Adapt global design standards to regional requirements across AMER, EMEA and APAC
• Collaborate with design managers, architects of record and facilities teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in design, architecture or related field
• Experience in facilities, hospitality or corporate office management
• Proficiency with at least one CAD tool (AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, SolidWorks, CREO, BIM360, SketchUp, or KeyShot)
• Ability to read and edit construction documents and specifications
• Experience applying ADA, health‑code, NFPA, ICC or other relevant standards
• Strong communication skills for cross‑functional teams and leadership
• Experience in project or design lead roles, including RFQ/RFP processes
