Design Manager / Design Project Manager – Data Center
Felps Group 🇫🇷 Ile-de-France, France
Manage the design phase and execution of hyperscale data center projects, coordinating with design offices and monitoring site deliverables. Act as the technical interface between project teams, technical assistants, and local stakeholders while managing electrical and HVAC dimensioning.
Responsibilities
- Pilot and manage design execution, coordinating study offices and monitoring deliverables
- Track construction progress, identify field issues and update execution drawings
- Coordinate technical aspects of power, cooling and ventilation sizing
- Write technical specifications, consult subcontractors, analyze and negotiate quotes
- Interface with project teams, technical AMO, and local stakeholders
- Produce concise management‑focused reports and limited documentation
Requirements
- Proven senior experience (10+ years) in data‑center infrastructure project management
- Engineering degree or equivalent with strong knowledge of power (CFO), cooling (CFA) and ventilation (CVC) systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal onboarding
- Strong autonomy and decision‑making skills
- PMP certification or equivalent project‑leadership experience (preferred)
- Professional English; French and/or Portuguese are a plus
- Willingness to travel between France and Portugal as needed
