Innovation and Design Engineer, Worldwide Design Engineering

Design high-quality, cost-effective fulfillment and distribution systems using automated material handling and robotics. Manage projects from concept through design approval and collaborate with suppliers and internal operations teams for successful installation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external teams to create high‑quality, cost‑effective fulfillment and distribution system designs
• Own multiple projects simultaneously from concept realization through design approval
• Act as primary technical contact for suppliers throughout the project lifecycle
• Hand off completed designs to Operations Engineering for installation, commissioning, and launch
• Support Ops Engineering to ensure successful system deployment
• Work on green‑field, brown‑field, and retrofit projects including automated fulfillment centers, cross‑dock facilities, and transportation centers

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in design/innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related fields
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Experience managing engineering design projects
• Knowledge of system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, statistical and reliability analysis, and decision making
• Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, high‑speed manufacturing, and design‑in‑safety
• Familiarity with Lean principles and process design
