The role involves designing user-friendly interfaces and improving user experience for web and mobile applications through research and prototyping. Key duties include managing Design System governance, implementing Service Design principles, and ensuring accessibility standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Design intuitive, mobileâfirst interfaces for applications and websites
- Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, focus groups, and usability testing
- Plan and execute research methods, recruit participants, and synthesize findings
- Create prototypes and highâfidelity mockâups using Figma and Axure
- Collaborate with analysts and developers to ensure implementations meet user requirements
- Maintain graphic design consistency while adhering to accessibility guidelines
- Build and govern a Design System for the organization
- Contribute to Service Design initiatives, proposing userâoriented solutions
- Communicate regularly with clients and internal teams throughout project phases
Requirements
- Master's degree in product development or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience designing mobile and web interfaces
- Strong analytical ability and creative talent
- Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
- Experience with userâcentered design methods and facilitation of interviews/workshops
- Proficiency in Figma, Axure, and cardâsorting tools
- Solid background in Service Design and its five core principles
- Experience establishing Design System governance
- Good knowledge of MSâŻOffice and Content Management Systems
- Understanding of responsive design and WCAGâŻ2.1âŻAA standards (preferred)
- Familiarity with the public sector and social security domain (optional)
- Fluent bilingual French/Dutch
