Senior Graphic Designer, Health Sciences Development

The Senior Graphic Designer will serve as a strategic visual leader, translating complex concepts into distinctive print and digital communications to support healthcare fundraising. They will mentor staff, manage external vendors, and execute high-impact visual strategies for transformational donor gifts.
Responsibilities
- Translate complex stories and concepts into distinctive print and digital communications for fundraising campaigns
- Design highâquality visuals for donor gifts, events, and promotional materials
- Develop and maintain production schedules, budgets, and timelines with minimal supervision
- Provide strategic visual recommendations and feedback to support fundraising objectives
- Mentor junior designers and guide external vendors to ensure brand consistency
- Create motion graphics and video assets as needed
- Ensure compliance with UCLA brand guidelines and printing specifications
- Collaborate with crossâfunctional teams to align design with overall communication strategy
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in marketing/communications design, preferably in agency, corporate, or nonâprofit settings
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and motionâgraphics creation
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and Mac systems
- Strong project scheduling, budgeting, and timeline management
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Experience with UX/UI principles and best practices
- Knowledge of printing and production processes
- Ability to mentor staff and collaborate with external vendors
- Preferred: fundraising knowledge, Blackbaud CRM experience, familiarity with UCLA branding
