UI Product Designer

The UI Product Designer will own the visual language and design system across four AI-native products for wholesale distribution. They will prototype interactions using AI tools and collaborate closely with customers and engineering squads to iterate on complex B2B workflows.

Responsibilities

• Prototype interactions in code using AI tools before polishing
• Own and evolve the design system across all Proton products
• Define AI‑specific UI patterns such as suggestion, confidence, review and handoff
• Collaborate with product, engineering and customers to gather feedback and iterate
• Participate in Proton’s agentic scrum model and help shape its design cadence
• Conduct user research and on‑site observations in distribution environments
• Create high‑fidelity UI, motion where appropriate, and detailed specifications
• Advocate for design quality and maintain a high visual standard across the platform

Requirements

• Demonstrated UI design expertise with strong typography, layout, color and iconography
• Portfolio showing end‑to‑end product ownership and visual language creation
• Hands‑on experience using AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor) for prototyping and iteration
• Ability to ship complete products and collaborate with engineering on implementation
• Strong communication skills to articulate design decisions to technical and executive stakeholders
• Experience with design systems and component libraries
• Understanding of complex B2B/enterprise or ERP‑adjacent software
