The Product Designer is responsible for the end-to-end creation of complex digital work tools, from discovery and research to high-fidelity prototyping and delivery. They collaborate closely with engineers and clients to translate messy real-world processes into intuitive, systematic software interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Design intuitive workflows and interfaces for complex, document‑intensive tools
- Translate messy real‑world processes into clear user experiences
- Conduct discovery sessions, user research and journey mapping with clients
- Create high‑fidelity designs and realistic interactive prototypes using code and AI tools
- Collaborate closely with engineers to assess technical feasibility and iterate
- Contribute to and expand design systems and reusable patterns
- Prioritise work, set direction and deliver high‑quality outcomes within tight deadlines
- Use product data and user behavior insights to identify opportunities
- Participate in short iteration cycles: understand → prototype → test → validate → deliver
Requirements
- 3–5 years of product design experience with a strong portfolio of structured digital products
- Fluent Dutch and excellent communication skills
- Ability to explain design decisions clearly to clients and engineers
- Figma‑first expertise, with experience in design systems and rapid prototyping using code
- Hands‑on experience with AI/agentic coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Familiarity with React, Tailwind and shadcn/ui is a plus
- Systematic thinking, attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Experience with product analytics (e.g., Mixpanel) and A/B testing
- Usability testing and post‑release product improvement
