Design Technologist II, Elevated Shopping Experience

The role involves building AI-enabled tools and intelligent workflows to bridge the gap between creative design and production. You will develop functional prototypes, GenAI pipelines, and agentic systems to scale content creation and UX solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own AIâenabled design technology projects from definition through prototyping, integration, launch, and iteration
- Build functional prototypes, nodeâbased workflows, and scalable AI pipelines respecting architecture, data, security, and performance constraints
- Create GenAI workflows for imagery, video, 3D, motion, templates, and content production
- Develop custom GenAI tools, APIs, and platforms to support creative teams at scale
- Partner with UX, science, product, engineering, and creative leadership to test workflows and align AI capabilities with business needs
- Design systems that reduce manual handoffs and move creative work reliably into production
- Use model APIs, production data, and automation to solve complex creative and operational problems
- Design agentic systems coordinating models, tools, data, automation, memory, and human review
- Rapidly prototype multiple approaches, assess technical and UX risks, and recommend paths forward
- Lead multiple parallel projects, managing dependencies, milestones, decisions, and stakeholder expectations
- Establish quality gates, evaluation methods, review mechanisms, and standards for prompting, data, benchmarking, and output quality
- Turn successful experiments into reliable, reusable, and maintainable tools integrated with eShop production platforms
Requirements
- 5+ years of frontâend technologist, engineer, or UX prototyper experience
- Strong coding samples in frontâend languages
- Experience with UI design for complex workflows
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of JavaScript/NodeJS, HTML/CSS, responsive design
- Knowledge of Python, Git, and source control
- Experience with machine learning, LLM fundamentals, or computer architecture
- Familiarity with generative AI tools and prompting
