Senior UX Researcher, Fauna

The Senior UX Researcher will own the research practice, identifying product risks and opportunities through both lab and field studies. They will define experience metrics and collaborate with design, product, and engineering teams to translate findings into actionable product improvements.

Responsibilities

• Decide what gets studied: identify the riskiest product bets and sequence research against the roadmap
• Stand up and own a research practice — recruiting, protocols, measures, reporting — that will identify product risks and opportunities
• Run studies end to end: lab sessions, field work in homes and offices, concept and prototype evaluation, and longitudinal use over weeks
• Define the experience metrics we track release over release
• Deliver findings while they are still cheap to act on, and work with design, product, and engineering to realize great user experiences

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven success leading User Research projects
• Experience with field research, ethnography, lab-based user testing, and survey design
• Bachelor's degree in HCDE, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field
• Experience with behavioral data collection, quantitative data analysis, and statistics

• Base salary range: $167,400 - $226,500 USD annually
