Design Manager (Industrial)

The Design Manager leads project teams through the design and preconstruction phases to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and budget. They facilitate collaboration between owners, design teams, and trade partners while mentoring staff to ensure effective project execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams including owner, design team, and trade partners with an integrated approach to achieving scope, schedule, and budget alignment
• Establish an integrated team experience through role clarity, effective communication strategy, and facilitating a culture that fosters collaboration
• Facilitate and collaborate with internal departments and project teams
• Facilitate team alignment and onboarding process at the onset of design and promote accountability to sustain through design
• Manage, mentor, and guide design team members and preconstruction team members to ensure clear direction and execution

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, industrial engineering, or other design equivalent field
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
• 5+ years experience in group facilitation and implementing collaborative delivery
• Specific experience in industrial manufacturing design
• Strong CAD and Revit capability
• Ability and willingness to travel, potentially up to 60%
