Product Designer 2 - Wearables

The Product Designer will research, design, and prototype user experiences for new features across Garmin's wearable product line. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, product managers, and design leadership to ensure high-quality, usable design solutions.
Responsibilities
- Research, design and prototype user experiences for new features and products
- Communicate research and designs using mockups, storyboarding, visual presentations and writing behavioral documentation
- Produce creative, simple and highly usable solutions for how products interact in response to human behavior
- Work closely with design leadership, software engineers, graphic artists, product managers and other stakeholders
- Assist with new user interface testing and conduct usability tests to get feedback on new designs
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Interactive Design, Human Factors, Visual Design or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year relevant work experience or 5 years equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0)
- Proficiency in creating research, flows and prototypes using tools such as Figma
- Understanding of good user interface design principles (consistency, simplicity, usability)
