Principal UX Designer

The Principal UX Designer will facilitate cross-functional workshops to drive product strategy and align senior stakeholders on complex design directions. They are responsible for mentoring design teams, scaling UX standards, and ensuring high-quality product experiences from concept through delivery.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Facilitation & Alignment: Facilitate design thinking workshops with cross-functional senior stakeholders to drive alignment and accelerate decision-making
- Translate abstract strategies into clear, testable product directions through rapid prototyping and visualization
- Lead teams through ambiguity, structuring complex, undefined problem spaces into actionable plans
- Drive consensus across diverse stakeholders, aligning business, product, and technical perspectives
- Create durable artifacts (frameworks, vision concepts, decision tools) that guide downstream execution
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, or a related discipline
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 for each degree earned
- 10+ years of UX/product design experience, including leadership at the principal or staff level
- Proven ability to lead senior-level, cross-functional workshops and drive alignment on strategic initiatives
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influence skills, with a track record of operating effectively without direct authority
- Demonstrated ability to bring clarity and direction to complex, ambiguous ('gray') problem spaces
