Sr. UX Researcher, AFT - Experience Design

Lead strategic research to optimize the intersection of physical and virtual environments within Amazon's global fulfillment network. Develop repeatable research infrastructure and mentor team members while translating complex data into actionable product and design directions.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify white space and frame high-ambiguity problems where getting the direction right is critical
- Translate insights into actionable direction that shapes product and design decisions
- Own and run evaluative mechanisms that serve the whole organization
- Build repeatable research infrastructure (repositories, frameworks, synthesis tools) that compounds over time
- Mentor researchers, designers, and team members in methodologies and best practices
- Drive multi-study research programs addressing interconnected questions across Amazon's global fulfillment network
- Continuously evaluate and adopt methods and tools that improve research rigor, speed, and scale
- Distill complex, multi-study data into insight narratives that drive measurable action
Requirements
- Experience with lab-based user testing, remote testing, iterative prototype testing, survey design, and usage of multiple methods within a study
- Bachelor's degree in HCDE, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field
- Experience with all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting)
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- Knowledge of quantitative data analysis and statistics
- Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization
- 5+ years of experience leading end-to-end user research programs with demonstrated business or product impact
