The Web Designer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the university website to ensure a cohesive brand identity and high conversion rates. They collaborate with marketing teams to create UI/UX designs and functional interfaces while managing all web-related inquiries from campus members.
Responsibilities
- Take the lead role in designing, creating, and maintaining the University's website
- Regularly evaluate organization and layout of websites/pages and implement appropriate information architectures
- Coordinate with other members of campus to create and modify webpages for specific purposes or outcomes
- Be first point of contact for people needing help with web issues related to content, design, and images
- Design and create consistently branded digital products that provide compelling digital experiences for key audiences
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 3-4 years of web development experience using WordPress or similar Content Management System
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in web design, UI design, and UX design, including accessibility best practices
