Lead the design of integrated digital and physical experiences for robotic workstations in fulfillment centers. Collaborate cross-functionally to create safe, efficient, and accessible workflows that guide operators through complex physical tasks.
Responsibilities
- Design across the digital-physical spectrum including workstation screen interfaces, and physical affordances like light and sound
- Define interaction models for interfaces optimized for safety, efficiency, accuracy, and comfort
- Design accessible workflows considering visual, auditory, and haptic feedback
- Create scalable mechanisms and reusable design patterns that multiply team impact across multiple robotics programs
- Map end-to-end service journeys that account for body posture, repetitive motion, workstation ergonomics, and transitions between digital guidance and physical task execution
- Lead UX research efforts with product partners in the field
- Partner cross-functionally with hardware engineering, software engineering, product management, industrial design, and operations
- Mentor junior designers and elevate UX maturity across the organization
- Advocate for the Associate by bringing field-grounded insights into roadmap and prioritization discussions
- Synthesize quantitative operational data with qualitative field insights to inform design priorities and trade-offs
Requirements
- 7+ years of design experience
- Available online portfolio
- 5+ years of hands-on work with field research, ethnography, lab-based user testing, remote testing, paper prototype testing, iterative prototype testing, concept testing, and survey design experience
- Experience building complex software systems
- Experience leading the design, build and deployment of complex software solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Interaction or UX Design, Industrial Design, or related field
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and defining UX strategy in innovation problem spaces
- Proficiency in modern design and supporting AI tools (Figma, Figma-Make, Kiro, or similar)
