The Product Designer is responsible for researching, conceptualizing, and developing trend-driven bags and fashion accessories from concept to production. This includes creating technical specifications, managing sample development, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Researching local and international fashion trends, colors, materials, silhouettes, and consumer preferences
- Developing seasonal collections for handbags, backpacks, wallets, belts, travel bags, laptop bags, luggage, pouches, and other fashion accessories
- Preparing design concepts, mood boards, sketches, technical drawings, and product specifications
- Creating innovative products that balance aesthetics, functionality, durability, and commercial appeal
- Ensuring all products align with Vibrant's brand positioning and target customer segments
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Leather Engineering
- 3-7 years of experience in bag, luggage, leather goods, footwear accessories, or fashion accessories design
- Strong sketching and illustration skills
- Product rendering and concept development
- Technical drawing preparation
- Knowledge of bag construction and manufacturing processes
- Material and hardware knowledge
- Pattern understanding
- Color and trend forecasting
- CAD software proficiency (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW or similar)
- Microsoft Office proficiency
