Controls Design Engineer, Controls Design Engineering

Develop and maintain global design standards for Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) across AWS data centers. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure consistent deployment and commissioning of critical infrastructure controls.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain deep expertise in building operations, mechanical plant strategies, BMS/EPMS programming concepts, control diagrams, industrial HVAC systems, electrical lineups, and one-line diagrams
- Create, maintain, and disseminate specification documents and Basis of Design standards for global projects
- Drive innovation of new solutions to support team initiatives and company goals
- Collaborate with construction teams, controls programmers, MEP/ACS engineers, Design Engineering, and project managers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- NETA or ASHRAE certification or commissioning specific education courses
- Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities
