Graphic Designer

The Lead Packaging Designer will conceptualize and develop innovative packaging solutions for new product launches and renovations across various CPG brands. This includes translating marketing objectives into visual designs and managing the process from conceptualization through final production-ready artwork.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualizing and developing innovative packaging solutions for new product launches, renovations, line extensions, and promotional campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand standards and consumer insights
• Translating strategic marketing objectives into compelling visual designs, layouts, and assets that enhance shelf presence and consumer engagement
• Evolving existing packaging systems to maintain relevance and differentiation within the market
• Preparing, adapting, and reviewing production-ready artwork across various formats and substrates, ensuring compliance with regulatory and technical specifications
• Collaborating with packaging engineers, printers, and production partners to support accurate execution from concept to final output
• Managing files, templates, and assets to facilitate smooth handoffs and consistent project delivery
• Cross-functional collaboration with Brand Marketing, Product Development, Regulatory Affairs, and external vendors to develop packaging solutions that meet project timelines, consumer needs, and business goals
• Incorporating market trends, consumer insights, and competitive references into your designs to create effective and innovative packaging
• Staying current with industry advancements, materials, and sustainability practices to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and creative excellence

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field
• 5-7 years of professional experience in packaging design within fast-paced CPG, agency, or studio environments
• A demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects efficiently, deliver polished solutions on tight deadlines, and contribute quickly to creative initiatives
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly in creating print-ready files and understanding production requirements
• A strong portfolio showcasing packaging design, visual systems, and consumer-focused solutions is highly preferred
• Exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with brand and project objectives
• Knowledge of Adobe AI tools, including Firefly, and familiarity with sustainability practices in packaging are advantageous
