The Product Designer will own the end-to-end design process for a personalized learning platform, balancing the needs of students, teachers, and administrators. Responsibilities include validating user goals, creating iterative prototypes, and establishing the company's design system and philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Dig deep, validate, and design to solve complex user problems
- Validate user goals, map key journeys, and land on the actual jobs to be done
- Explore broadly, then narrow down to a single concept
- Communicate judgment effectively to the rest of the team
- Set the design bar and decide what becomes a pattern and what stays a one-off
- Stay through QA and impact to ensure the product is working as intended
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field
- Experience in designing and shipping real software
- Ability to run the whole arc of design, from understanding the problem through concepts, hi-fi, and a spec engineering can build from
- Comfortable with being scrappy and iterative
- Excited by building something that hasn't existed before and genuinely changes how people learn
