Lead high-impact research for AWS Marketplace and Partner Services to understand complex buyer and partner journeys. Translate customer evidence into product strategy and roadmap recommendations while mentoring cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

  • Define research strategy for complex, multi-persona journeys spanning discovery, evaluation, procurement, licensing, deployment, operations, and renewal
  • Design and execute research for complex buyer and partner journeys across several different personas and interaction surfaces
  • Design and conduct generative and evaluative research using methods appropriate to the question and decision
  • Lead research for conversational and agentic experiences, including customer expectations for trust, transparency, delegation, control, and recovery when automation fails
  • Identify consequential knowledge gaps and unmet customer needs, then work with Product, Design, Engineering, and business leaders to translate findings into product strategy and roadmap priorities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HCDE, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field
  • 7+ years of proven success leading User Research projects with demonstrated impact experience
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods including usability testing, interviews, surveys, contextual inquiry, field studies, and behavioral analytics
  • Experience owning end-to-end research programs for complex product areas with multiple user types and workflows
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional research initiatives, influence product decisions, and mentor researchers
